The gland-type loose-fitting expansion joint is based on the original performance of the loose-fitting expansion joint, with the addition of a limiting device. At the point of maximum expansion in the gland-type loose-fitting expansion joint, a double nut locking mechanism is used.
Expansion Joint Classification:
Expansion joints are divided into two types: loose-fitting expansion joints and loose-fitting limited expansion joints. Loose-fitting expansion joints include: nut-type loose-fitting expansion joint AL, gland-type loose-fitting expansion joint AY, and flange-type loose-fitting expansion joint AF. Loose-fitting limited expansion joints include: single-flange loose-fitting limited expansion joint BF, double-flange loose-fitting limited expansion joint B2F, and detachable double-flange loose-fitting force-transmitting joint CC2F.
A loose-fitting expansion joint consists of a body, sealing ring, and tightening components, forming a device for connecting pipes with a loose fit. It is mainly used to absorb axial displacement and is a compensation joint that cannot withstand pressure thrust. A loose-fitting limited expansion joint consists of a loose-fitting expansion joint and a limiting short pipe. It can prevent leakage or damage to the compensation joint due to excessive displacement of the pipeline. It is mainly used for loose-fitting pipe connections that absorb axial displacement and withstand pressure thrust within the allowable displacement range.
